So I finally did weigh myself...133.4! That is 9.6 pounds down from May! It's nowhere close to race weight, but a whole lot better than what I was carrying around at ToC.
yes, thanks, Gordon... I weigh in every day but I've never actually filled in the chart... maybe I should backfill.
@Gordon: steady is better than up! I know a lot of folks have been using it for a while (Kitima included), but added the Lose It app on top of "clean eating" has made a huge difference for me. I really don't think it's the volume of training bc this is my second tango with HIM prep and I'm lower this time around... what really changed is how I eat (I read Primal Blueprint duing my off week after my HIM in June - and then cleaned up my eating)...
Congrats to Nemo for holding steady! And rock on Kitboo! Nice drop... that's a lot since May! Woot.
I'm in at my lowest Wed weigh in weight: 130.8... definitely dropped since Jan (I believe my bike test weight was 139 - my biggest in 10 years).. I'm noticing how clothes are starting to fit again and I am starting to get some definition back! I've also noticed a trend. Fri is usually my lowest weigh in of the week (last Fri I was in the 129 range) and Monday is always the highest... and I trickle down over the course of the week - but I've also noticed that despite being up on Monday, I'm lower from one Monday to the next, as I've been on the Wed weigh in days... so the trend is heading in the right direction. 128 is my once "normal" weight and 125-26 is my target race weight... my goal is to get there by my first IM RR in September.
Time to hunker down and start cleansing again...the HIM PR I want is waiting for me in October!!!
Does anybody know how to make a graph out of a single row of this spreadsheet (short of importing the data into another program?)
OK back on the spreadsheet after some time away letting my damn self go. Too much yummy pasta with italian sausage, meat/cheese platters, and red wine. Damn you sweet nectars of life!
It's time to get accountable to something other than myself. 15 pounds before IMAZ. I have a lot of call coming up which should help jump start things by eliminating wine/Guinness from the equation, but gotta clean up the diet and take advantage of all this training.
I have been lurking around this thread for a month or so. Time to join up, and be accountable. Added my name to the bottom of the spread sheet if that is ok. Need to lose these last 10 or so pounds before race day.
I am at the weight I had hoped for racing - 130. I am getting the "you look too skinny" and "you look tired" comments.
Don't know if I can get lower, my body has stayed here despite the volume jump.
I was 136.2 yesterday morning and ate well all day. I was hungry and thirsty all day but I did good at snacking on extra fruits and vegies and not junk. I drank of ton of water though. This morning I got up and was 138.2, even with a calories deficit and eating right I gained 2 lbs of water in 24 hours. Oh well, it is what it is and I'm sure my body is holding on for the water for a reason ... maybe it knows Wendesday morning is humid long run day and it is just getting prepared ;-)
Therefore, I'm 1.4 lbs up this week to 138.2.
@Stephen - I just added my name and backfilled the few weeks I knew... so no worries there!
@Michele - nice. I haven't gotten to the "you look skinny" weight yet, but I'm getting there. I think that's a good thing.
@Matt- no worries... I fluctuate a lot myself - after a killer weekend of bricks on top of following my calories (although I was over Saturday) I was very disappointed with my Monday number... in part bc Sunday I know I was very conscious and below the net intake... but it's working it's way out and fluctuations are normal... I can't recall what Penny said in the other thread, but she's generally opposed to daily weigh ins bc of this stuff (granted, I do it anyway so I can get used to what my fluctuations are and how things are trending). Hang in there, we're headed in the right direction and doing right by our bodies.
I've been stuck at 161lb for a while. With the bike volume, cal deficits, glycogen and hydration states bouncing around all over the place, I'm just doing the work and using the mirror more than the scale.
Weighed in today at 213. Down 6 from my late May weight and 14 from my February weight. Slowly but surely. IM CdA weight last year was 204-206. Goal now for this year is to go sub-Clydesdale! Haven't been below 200 since, like, high school I think.
Thanks for keeping this going, Gordon.
