Ideal TSB on IM Day
You can tell Im tapering....too much time on my hand for thinking up stuff...oh well!
For those of you who felt like you achieved pretty close to your potential on an IM, what was your TSB number (on PMC chart per WKO+) ffor the Bike and the Run?

MJ - Here's my advice. Find a video game, or a TV show on Hulu or streaming netflix you want to see, or a series of books you want to read, like that Swedish trilogy, and just HIBERNATE for a while. Whenever you feel the need to perseverate on whether you are ready for IM LOU or not, go watch or read or play something else. You've done what you can. You're ready, and as long as you follow the Four Keys, you'll have a great day.
I think the value of the performance management chart in WKO is best when used to review training relative to racing after the fact, or to look at the long view, like a season, to help with planning the next cycle. It's very hard to use as a predictive tool, and, besides, theres nothing you can do about your CTL at this point
This is a topic that we could probably discuss for days because there are so many variables. Your TSB that is an "OK" number for you during the height of training may be very different than my TSB. The taper and that number on race day is therefore also gonna be different. So I don't think there is a magic number that fits everyone, and comparing your numbers to others isn't gonna do anything to put your head in a good place.
So like Al said, rest, relax, go watch a movie. And if you really just wanna research this topic a little more, I'd suggest reviewing Maryka's Blog from last year. She chased the "find the magic TSB" number leading into her IM Kona race and did a pretty goo write up about it in her blog:
