Late Tour de France pix.
I've just now seen the video of Schleck attacking Contador, then dropping his chain and Contador's counter attack. I have to agree with Ryder Hesjedal's assessment: "if you draw your sword and drop it, you die."
Some late pix from the Col du Tourmalet, to remind us of summer, rapidly coming to a close.
I hope they format okay.
From La Mongie, the climb up to Col du Tourmalet.
French German Shepherd guarding the pain.
Wild horses above the condo.
Just wandered through one morning.
The Tour's in town and the Basque Shepherds are on vacation.
Some dude.
Some other dudes.
On the Col. (He's probably lying.)
AS and AC on the first trip up the Col, from La Mongie side. The "easy" side.
Georgie and Levi.
This is the west side of the Col. In the clouds is where Schleck and Contador duked it out in the fog. This climb alone is worth the trip.

We went on our own. Rented a condo in La Mongie and rode out from there. There were lots of organized groups around.
Very Very Cool. If you ever go again give me call PLEASE.
Back to work soon. Dammit.
That would be soooooo awesome! Let's start a campaign! Chris for Pro Tour Comentator!
The cost of entering an Ironman is almost the cost of a flight to Paris (At least from Grand Rapids) I'm making plans to ride alpe d'huez sooner than later.
