Hey Everyone.

Not *quite* the result I was looking for but I definitely can't complain.   Here's a link to my full race report:

Congratulations to everyone else that was racing on the weekend - what was with the bipolar weather!?!?!

  • Nice.  Way to go Tavis.

  • Tavis, you PB'd by an hour on a tough course on a crazy day. Pretty good I'd say! I think you have some logistical issues to iron out with the bouncing nutrition, but otherwise great stuff!!!!

  • Great job out there Tavis and great read to boot!

Like I said to Wayne, too weird that the three of us were all within 400m of each other at the finish line!

  • Very funny race report. Loved the "grunting" along the run course.

Great website btw. Very cool intro video with some pretty amazing places you've run/hiked/been.

    Congrats!

  • Hilarious race report. I like the cuckoo clock hammers.

Boy, oh, boy did Penticon ever dish out race conditions for you all. My deepest respect for making it through the hail and wind!
  • Congratulations, Tavis! It was an ugly day to race - I kept chuckling when people would say they were "ideal cool race conditions." Where any finish after the hail and wind is an accomplishment, your PB is a massive achievement, and great kudos to you on getting below 12:00! I could hear Alan King calling people in around that time, and it's always exciting to get a sub XX:00:00 finish!

  • Wow, you were one of those who got the hail! When I came into T2, the volunteers in the change tent kept asking me if I got hailed on..."WHAT?!?!" Although I would love to be fast enough to have been higher up in the field, I guess I should be grateful that by the time I got to Yellow Lake, it was just rain. Probably would have fallen off my bike with the hail. Congratulations on a great race!
  • Finally read your race report, Tavis. Hammer time has a whole new meaning now. But what I liked best was the  mysterious force which overtook you on the run back into Penticton. Some previously unseen, unknown part of you decided you were going to finish in under 12 hours, and wasn't going to let any silly notion of walking or slowing down get in the way - score one for your right brain!

  • Congratulaitions on a great race. The negative split on the run was awesome! Great execution and congrats on the huge PB!
  • That's one funny RR. Congrats on a race well done!
