Well that was therapeutic. Unfortunately it's so long that I was worried that posting it would bring the EN forums to a screeching halt, so posted here instead:
Nice report Craig. Dude you smoked the field on the run and you did look good out there!!! Have a great off season and hope to see you at the races next year.
@ChrisM - thanks! *I* didn't even read all of it, so thanks for reading!
@ChrisG - whaddya mean? I did swim occasionally - during the RACE that is! Seriously, thanks - points taken. Transitions could definitely use some improvement. In T1 it was mainly rookie stupidity in not knowing the right way to my bike and in T2 I made a tactical error by using the portapotties inside the transition area - it's much smarter to use one once you're out on the run course - same net time, but that way your T2 looks faster, and people think you ran a good, smart, slow first mile.
Great report, Craig! Hope you're continuing to enjoy some post-race downtime, and have made a dent in the stock of Naramata Nut Brown Ales you brought back from Penticton.
Sub 11 in 2012: That's awesome. Will you go out to volunteer in 2011?
Thanks Dave! Re: downtime - definitely - I was NOT that guy that sits there the Tuesday after the race wondering if he should go for a workout. I took 12 days completely off and it was fantastic. However, after a brief stint as an alcoholic (including helping our local crew demolish the aforementioned Naramata Nut Browns), I'm back at it and raring to go.
The Sub11 was partly tongue in cheek re: me always setting goals that are ever-so-slightly out of reach, but I actually think it's doable.
Will definitely be volunteering there in 2011 and am really looking forward to seeing the race from the other side.
Hope all is similarly well in your neck of the woods?
@Alessandro - loved the Dr. Zhivago comment (way funnier than the all-too-obvious War and Peace reference)

Great racing! Congrats!
Nice report. I would not worry about shaving your legs. It would be easier to cut 10 minutes out of your transitions or maybe even swim occasionally
And I agree with Chris; faster transitions will do you a world of good.

Wow, and I thought "Doctor Zhivago" was long.
Seriously, great race and excellent report! - Congratulations!!
