Orthotics

Okay, where is the best place online to get custom orthotics made?

Comments

  • Do you really need customs? SOLE has nice ones that are relatively inexpensive and uses heat to mold them. They also have light ones so as not to bulk up your shoes...
  • I use the SOLE footbeds and they are wicked.
  • @ Jed: You tell me, I always though everything but custom was junk. But Im having a hell of time finding someone who does them out here.

@Wayne and Jed: In a stroke of luck, I ordered the some SOLES last night. I got the thin sport for cycling shoes. Which ones are ya'll using for running shoes?

  • I have the Softec Response (the red ones).  I actually don't wear any in my cycling shoes but maybe I should consider it.  I've been using SOLE footbeds for a long time and they are pretty sweet.  They also make nice socks.

  • I just did my bike fit with Todd, and I def need some cycling orthotics. My knees are all over the place.

PS. This thread is like the EN Asian Invasion.
  • I'll Gringo it up for you Greg, specialized makes some different orthotics body geometry. They are pretty good. What did Todd tell you as far as orthotics went?
  • I gave him front and rear views and there was definite diving in of my knees bilaterally at the top of my stroke. Most severe on the right. This feets with my collapsed arch. So, Im hoping to correct it somewhat with orthotics. Right now, Im basically pushing on the outside of my foot only.

Any idea of much the Specialized orthotics are just in case these Soles dont work out?

  • There's also a model by superfeet for cycling shoes, priced around the same.
