EN Power Webinar?
As a EN Newbie I have been working to get ready for the start of my OS on 11/1/10. Have recently purchased a powertap and the WKO software. Is the Power Webinar a "must have" for a newbie?

I would say "yes".
I think there are a couple of great resources that make a big difference. The 4 keys DVD is a must have for triathlon race execution.
For power, the book "Training and Racing With a Power Meter" by Allan & Coggan, may be a touch dry, but you'll be a lot smarter when you are done. The book is really directed at roadies. The power webinar is a much better tri focus, and much easier to get through. Also, search the forums for the term "crucible" where Patrick will analyze power files for race rehearsals or races. A great way to learn how to use the WKO software.
For running, "Daniel's Running Formula" lays out much of the foundation we use here in EN. The book has been around for a long time, for a good reason.
PS- Tom, it's so nice to see you up and about again :-)
I found it to be excellent source of inforration to get you up and running with the basic power terms and beyond. You will still have to invest some time but this really helps.

The racing wattage table used to be in the webinar. If you don't find it there, look for something in the Wiki around Long Course Bike pack. You do not need to be able to read IF or TSS, but you need to be steady so that ave power is "close enough" to your NP. You'll have already worked out your gears and pasted those watts to your stem.
Its in there, in the Webinar, as either a .pdf of Excel file.
Thanks, found it in the Wiki. Now all I have to do is get my watts up to 240 and my weight down to 60 kg, and I'll be able to ride up the hills without burning up my running legs or falling over.
