Marathon Hack Question
Hi,
I'm a new member starting my OS in November, yet have 3 weeks to a marathon. Downloaded the marathon hack spreadsheet and plan to use it for the final few weeks.
My question is this: Most of the weeks have only 3 workouts and do not indicate which days the workouts fall on. Was this by design?

I believe that is by design. I have been using the hack as my main marathon plan. You will replace your stand alone runs with 2 of the runs in the hack and can either throw the third in as a brick after one of the bike workouts or do it on one of the days where nothing is scheduled. You will still do the prescribed bike workouts.
Does that help?
I dont have another plan at the moment, so i'll have to figure something out.
Thanks for the info...
So are you saying your marathon is in 3 weeks from yesterday, not 3 weeks into your OS start? What have you been doing leading up to the race? You could do a short little modified OS up until your race. The OS is setup with bike workouts Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Stand alone runs on Wednesday and Sunday. Maybe do two good bike workouts and the 3 prescribed runs? Something like 1 hour for each with 3 x 8-10 minutes at Z4-5 with the remaining time @ Z3. That's a pretty solid workout.
But if you currently are a member you should be able to load up a training plan yourself to take a glance.
Click on the "Training" part of the red menu bar above and go to "Training Plan Central". There you will select a plan. I say you select a Intermediate OS ending the same date as your marathon. This way it will load all 20 weeks of your plan. Click on different weeks to get a feel for the plans and as Patrick says replace the runs with the hack. They are no joke.
Oh and don't worry about messing anything up when selecting the plan. It is pretty intuitive and we all had worries about selecting our own plans like we would break something. You won't, I hope.
