Anyone Interested in Weekly Run Only Thread?
Hasan Baydoun and I have been PMing about running and he suggested we start a weekly run-only thread. I am doing the Daniels 5k/10k Program that our vDot system is based on through the end of the year until January OS starts. I know there are a few folks marathon, half marathon and ultra training right now. May also help folks who are waiting for their OS to start keep motivated?
We have done this in the past and it seems to have died off.
Anyhoo, if you are interested please respond to this post.
Thanks.
John

Plans for off-season: Really, really focus on improving my run form. Drills, slow ramping of running in VFF's, continue with stretching/foam rollering/yoga.
Also, I need to practice running and hopping over cyclocross barriers...I look like a pregnant hippo trying to do hurdles.
John, I am in the same boat, same plan, same duration, same OS as you. You bet I am interested. Count me in.
On a separate note, when you get a chance, either a PM or different thread, let me know what are you doing with your bike training.

Maybe next time.

Sounds like a good idea. I won't hit the OS until Jan and I want to get some miles in to see if my knee can handle it. So my plan is run 5xs a week with lower easy miles and see if I can build up. My running suffered some this year because I stuck with only 2xs a week and they were intervals mostly and that takes its toll. So I figure if I can get some miles in, hopefully the knee will adapt and I can do intervals in the OS along with some runs for a bigger improvement on the run.
