Remembering old times...

Hey all,

I was just cleaning out an old gmail account and found an invite to the '07-08 OS Group worksheet.

Starting in the OS groups had a total of 74 people spread across four starting months (November only had 6!).

My oh my how the times have changed! I think there might have been more people at the Wisconsin pre-race dinner than in the entire Nation a couple years back.

But while our numbers have blossomed, I think the closeness has not been lost. Heck, after the EN-a-palooza at Wisconsin this year, one could argue that we're closer now!

For me, it's been great here since day one. I miss some of the original gangstas like Cramer, Paula, and Colleen, but the wisdom and training smarts they passed on live on through all of us paying it forward.

Remember the training plans in google docs? Rich always called it a "Sanford and Son" way to deliver. I, for one, never minded it. Come a long way baby.

STILL kickin' myself for not joining the original OS. I think I joined in February or March of 2008. I would also throw in the infamous jlbWalleye...he was part of the northern plains gang. I think when I joined the plans came in a pdf or something. I think I might even still have my first one.

Man, that seems like a million years ago! I remember being scared to death to post anything- I had no idea what a forum was! I agree with ya Mike- the closeness has only grown stronger.

In addition to missing some of those OGs, I REALLY still miss the smiley's from ENt 3.0, hint hint [insert EN 3.0 smiley ducking to avoid being hit by something flying by over his head here]

the AVATARS, yes I remember! oh my. I also miss "Murphy's Law", yes the other peeps you mentioned, Dancing Brit Helen, NYorker Heidi, and more and I was in that Oct off season group!! thru this forum I learned how to upload pics, make you tubes, upload songs to my IPOD, got an IPOD actually, tried Spam once again, eaten Ice cream for a challenge, taken pics in all sorts of weather conditions all over the place.. and right now??? I can't figure out the new Smileys. I have a Mac and I see bookmarks (never used it!) but lo and behold there is stuff in there... m

While it seems like forever...2007-2008 was really not all that long ago huh?
