run Q

So, Tuesday is a brick with a 25 minute or so run.  I can't fit in a 60 minute bike and a run in the morning so I'll do the bike in the morning and run after work.  Should I still keep the run in Z1 as in the plan or spice it up a little since it isn't a brick run now.  I'z got nothin against running slow if I should.

  • Kurt- what plan are you currently using?

    In general, the Bricks are set up that way mainly for convenience only (you are already sweaty, already in workout cloths, just get it done). The point of that run is frequency, not intensity anyway. If you can't get it done with the ride- just do it when you can, but don't try adding intervals or anything like that. Just do the run as outlined in the schedule.
  • Kurt, what Nemo said and, if it makes sense for your schedule and you feel like it, fine to add 10-15' of volume to that run if done PM vs AM/brick.
