Quarq Cinqo customer service

A quick heads up: My Cinqo died after a year of hard use. I called Quarq and they had it 2nd or 3rd day shipped out, replaced it with a new model and 2nd day'd it back all at ZERO charge.

Quality product and service. Just FYI.

  • That makes me feel a little better. I just ordered a S975 with a quarq for my new bike. Any idea if them going out after a year is a common thing or was yours a bit of a fluke?
  • I think mine was a fluke. It has been FLAWLESS but read low on a ride then died. No other issues prior.

  • super cool.. a S975 is on my to-buy list in Dec...
  • I had one of the first SRAM's they shipped out. It died on me about 2 months ago and they replaced it with the new model free of charge. Very cool.

  • Just anecdotally, I've heard of very few issues with Quarqs over the time that I've had mine. There were some complaints about the antenna in the first model which has long since been adressed, and of course some inherent improvement that went into the Saturn before that.

I'm curious to what model of Quarq that you have Vince, because if you had of an S975, then now I've heard of 3 people recently who have required their crank to be warrantied. My original Cinqo has made it through about 2 years of heavy use, has been through the Saturn upgrade, has had the electronics pod upgraded, and was still going very strong when I sold it off to fund my switch to a compact, but makes me wonder if there was something up with the first SRAM batch.

All the same, I wouldn't hesitate to buy a Quarq or an SRAM S975 Quarq specifically, I'm confident in their reliability and that if anything should happen, they'll definitely make it right.
  •  Quarq's customer service is top notch.  What a nice and helpful group of people.

I also had one of the first shipments of S975's earlier this year and mine has run flawlessly.  Just wish it would tell me my FTP was 360 instead of 260.  I guess that's my fault though.

  • I had a Sram crankset, compact and purchased a year ago August. I think it was an early model.

Flawless except when it died. My new one is the same.
