Trying to get this whole EN thing figured out
Alright so I just completed IMWI my first IM and have decided to return in 2012 to improve greatly on my 12:57:xx time with a goal that was 12:00:00. Even though I knew the exact reasons why I failed my time goal, I knew I could have reached it since I proved it to myself in all my training and races. Anywho that is beyond the point. I am looked into EN as guidance for next year. I would like to work at the 70.3 series to build my endurance base and race some shorter distances to work on my speed. Of course my run is what needs to most work. My question/s I guess to you are this, with the above being stated already.
What exactly is your training philosophy and how do you plan on getting each of us to our goals?
I know that you adapt each training schedule to the specific athlete, but what is your reasoning behind what you build as a program for each athlete? Do you have certain beliefs of what works/doesn't work etc.?
Cost, If I understand correctly EN is 99$/per month plus the addition of whichever plan I choose from?
How do you make up for not having one on one coaching in person once a month? I am aware of the training camps you run through the summer, but if I want some help in the middle of April how do you work on this?
Thats it for right now, these questions I guess are a bit broad and maybe not completely understandable to you guys, I am just trying to figure out the EN way and get some more confidence behind you guys, because it seems like your athletes produce the results. Thanks

Ben,
The place to post your question about "how do the training plans work" is here
As to some of your other concerns, in no particular order;
(1) EN vs 1-1 coaching. My bet is that you will get more time with RnP than with someone who calls themselves a 1-1 coach. They respond back daily to almost all posts, there are micro and macro threads dealing with plans that get instant coach responses. They are at every US IM event and meet everyone for coffee, beer, dinner and you can talk to them for hours if you want. They offer free training camps, and when they travel they often stay at athlete homes. I've literally had 100's of hours of face time with the coaches and I don't live anywhere even close to either of them. Think Friel, Gordo, Carmichael or any other coach would give you that kind of time?
(2) The plans work and have been tested on hundreds of athletes. They are updated regularly and have input from users who are athletes first, but also doctors, PTs, engineers, and just all round smart people. Any other coaches get so much feedback from so many professionals? Again, I doubt it.
I suppose that if you want to be spoon fed a plan and don't want to put in a little effort to learn, then this might not be the model for you, but for 95% of us out there, it's not so bad.

Welcome to your trial! Broad questions indeed.

Please read/skim our Long Course Training Manual.

Please read this post, Team Coaching, which describes how we coach the team.
Lets us know if you have additional questions after reading those resources. Thanks!

Ben,
Just to add to the comments. Beyond the micro and macro threads the coaches have time in the chat forums where you can interact with them as well.
I find that the key beyond the plans and the direction is the tools that are tools that are provided to organzie your season (season plan tool kit), OS, 1/2 IM, IM plans and the ways move between these plans and other races, sprints olys that you have through out a season.
We also have some very knowledgeable members and resources for core strenght and if you have an injury the process of recovery and getting back on plan.
