I'm Back!

After I finished IMLou in 2008 I kinda felt like I had reaped all the benefits from EN. I was shifting my focus back to running, so I left the haus as version 4.0 was rolled out. Now I am back and looking toward IMWI in 2011. Since I was very happy the first time around, I thought I would take another look at EN.  The community spirit is still working. There are a ton more resources. Some things are still behind the curtain, but it looks significantly improved. The biggest difference for me is how the training plan works. I just realized that after I pay the monthly fee I get everything, right? This includes "the plan." It also appears that "the plan" is in fact a rolling monthly path to get me through my next race and to my A race? That is pretty cool. In 2008 I was inexperienced, still am really, but I think I peaked early and could have used the guidance I'm seeing given now as far as season planning. Before it was: here's your plan, here are the forums and here are the resources. Do I have this right? Also how have the IM plans changed since 2008? Lastly, do I get an EN singlet at some point after I join? Glad to be back. Incidentally, I asked the nutrition question on the 4 keys DVD. Thanks for making me famous.

  • Brian- you've got a lot of questions and I'm sure the coaches will chime in. I'd say it sounds like you've got most of the way it works now figured out. But I just wanted to say WELCOME BACK! You'll have a blast at IMWI in 2011- there will be lots of support on the course for you from the EN Chicas (we have to pay back the folks that did so much for us this year).
  • Hey Brian, Welcome back! I'll be joiining you in Madison next year!

  • Hey Brian,

Good to have you back! Yes, when you join you'll have access to everything, including the plans. See the Team Coaching post here in the Trial Forum. Yes, new members get a singlet.

BTW, I often use you as an cautionary tale for why we still need to look up occassionally when in the aerobars

You may want to add Al to your story image

  • Oh my, I'm tearing up. Who's Al? Finally someone who understands. (I smacked into the back of a parked van at 20 mph. Broken tooth, helmet, bike frame and about $1000 damage to the poor guys van. And that's all I have to say about that. Unfortunately the EN zero to IM hero plan just got me the fitness, not the bike handling skills.)

  • Hi Brian! Welcome back and welcome back!

OMG, you cannot believe what has happened in 2010 in terms of crashes around here--mucho serious ones too. Shedding that bad voodoo next year we hope!

  • That is the sobering reality of triathlon that the bike can really be dangerous. Spoke with Coach P today and I am really glad to be back.
  • Welcome back Brian!!! No more talk of crashes..... there's been to much
