  • Congrats on the new Joule! I'll use the Power Agent software to input my FT number and not worry about the zones it calculates. I know my FT, 90% , 85% and 80% of FT and don't need the Joule. I'll show current watts and normalized power on the top line, speed and cadence next, with ride time and something else, depending on the ride. I'll smooth data for a couple of seconds if it allows it and ignore zeros on average cadence and watts, but rarely look at that data, so it's not a big deal. Stare mostly at current power and normalized, then cadence. Other stuff, not so much.

  • Hey PJ,

I have a Joule. I have it set to:

    • Record zeros
    • I think I have the smoothing set pretty high so the numbers don't bounce so much.
    • On the Dashboard screen I display current watts, MPH and ride time in the left column, Normalized watts, IF and TSS in the right column, and miles and KJ on the bottom. If I'm doing a long climbing ride, I'll change the bottom line data to climbing stuff: Alt, gain, and % grade.
