New Payment System?

I see the following message on my screen:

It's time to upgrade your account information to the new EN payment system. Please click here to complete this simple 60-second process and avoid having your account suspended. Thanks!

When I click the link it tells me I do not have access to the page.  What gives?

Comments

  • Tucker - I get the same results???

  • Jumped the gun...standby for more info.
  • I got it once and then it went away... but the time stamp looks like it was just "fixed" (taken away in some manner) a couple minutes ago. Looks like they have it in control. Glad I looked here rather than poked out an email.
  • Folks, full announcement coming shortly on this. One of the last big puzzle pieces we have to fix behind the EN scenes. Thanks for being so attentive...stay tuned...
  • Hey guys - What is the "new credit card information accepted" message or screen supposed to look like?  The "click here" button provides me the blanks to enter the new cc data, but it does not confirm it is being accepted.  Thanks, D

  • @Dominic, are you missing other data? I had a red star by phone number after clicking. Fixed it and got a thank you message from RnP
  • Tom - Yep.  I did not notice the street address bar was blank.  That fixed it.  Thanks, good tip. D

  • Thanks for making this happen folks. Over 50% of you have done it so far....really appreciate it!
  • Thanks for now taking AMEX!

  • Sup?!
Provided my CC info in the new spot... and noticed that you are using an old email address in the new system. I also could not update that address. Was that on purpose? And, where can I go to get that old address removed?

    Thx!
  • Dan go to Forums / My Profile / My Account and that should do it!
  • Should I be worried that I entered my info and the warning banner at the top of the screen won't go away?
  • @Beth - I checked and it doesn't look like it went through. Maybe there was a field that you left off? When its a success you will get a confirmation message, an email and that banner should go away. If you have a chance this morning can you try again please?

Got it. And saw the cute message from RnP.

  • I received a "Your Scheduled Payment has been Declined" email today for my monthly fees/dues, after I changed the CC info a few days ago.

  • I got an email saying I had been sent several emails about the new system and I was locked out until Friday when my membership would be canceled if I didn't update my CC info. I searched my inbox, and I didn't see any emails regarding this matter. I clicked on the link in the email to see what happened, and it said I could not access that page. (I wouldn't enter CC info following a link in an email anyway, sorry guys.)
    Any tips?

    Hi,

You _just_ received an email from us about updating your CC information with us, with threats of dire consequences if you don't do so by the 5th. Here's the deal:

I'm an idiot and sent the email to everyone vs the subset of everyone who were actually supposed to see it. Sorry, I suck.

If you go the Dashboard and everything looks normal, ie, you can see Chris G talking about how weak he is (duh) then you are GOOD, we have from you what we need, move along nothing to see.

If you go to the Dashboard and all you can see is a page with RnP asking you to please update your CC information, that's because you haven't updated your CC information and we need you to do it so we can restore your access to the site. Just follow the instructions, it should take you less than 60 seconds to get this done. However, if you don't update your billing information, or contact us, we'll assume that you don't want to be on the Team and we will have no choice but to cancel your membership. And if you want to rejoin the Team after that cancellation, it will have to be at the current rate of $129/mo.

Thanks and, again, sorry for the confusion.

    Dumb Dick

  • Cool. Everything looks normal for me. I'll continue to do nothing.
I do think I need a good-cop hug from Patrick after the bad-cop Rick badgering. =)
    Thanks.

The lesson here is that EN will never be anything more than RnP doing the best they can and occasionally making mistakes. We are not MSFT, Google, or MegaTriCorp. Keep this in mind when we make a mistake, an email sent at 9p Saturday isn't returned on a Sunday, etc.

The other lesson is that when we ask you to fix a billing issue, please fix it right away. We want to be coaches, not bill collectors.

  • And, of course, we love all of you. image
