My daughter is looking for your vote
For anyone not connected to me on Facebook, my daughter is currently in the running for a contest to be a new character in a book series. It's entirely something she came up with on her own (see wife's blog post here). Given her desire to give this popular book series an athletic friend to show the benefits of exercise for kids, I thought the message might resonate with the group here. Given Daniela's enthusiasm for kids' tris right now, who knows, maybe it could introduce the sport to more kids.
So, the voting process allows one vote per person daily. The link is here . The voting process takes only seconds if you're on facebook. If not, it takes a few seconds longer than that.
The contest runs through the end of January. If she's still in the top 20 at that point, she'll be eligible for the final cut, selected by some judges. She'd absolutely love the vote. If you'd be willing to vote on multiple days, I can be friended on facebook here for a daily reminder.
(side note: I hate to be the guy bugging a whole ton of people on behalf of my kid. I wouldn't be doing it if I wasn't so impressed by her thought process on the whole thing. So, whether you vote or not, I do appreciate the fact that you even took the time to read this. Thanks!)
