what is wrong with search?

I'm not sure if I'm the only one experiencing this, but I cannot get any search to run successfully.  All I get is this

ErrorAn error has occurred.

Error: Forums is currently unavailable.

It's been happening for over a week, though I'm not exactly sure how long.

  • Mike - Please make sure you are under http://members.endurancenation.us. I think we have gotten rid of most of the older links but some have it book marked a certain way.
  • EN Tech Guy, thanks for the response. This same error occurs when I click search from within the forums, from the dashboard, from a thread, or from the Not Read page. I'm able to type in a search, and then hit the "search" button, and it will think for a while, and then return the error above.
  • @EN Tech Guy - The 'Visit the forums!' link on the new dashboard is pointing to the dnnmax.com URL - and it's pretty much my main entry point.

  • Thanks - fixed.
  •  @EN Tech Guy: this is the only thread in my email that allows me to get to the forums thru my email.  When I click on the the link that is supposed to bring me to the thread, it brings me to EN's home page, and I cannot access the website.  Any ideas????

I am getting the same error.  In fact, this happens about 90% of the time ever since I joined about two months ago.  I'm just too lazy to post about it, but it's starting to become more and more frustrating.  I am navigating to the forums through the dashboard menu and, once there, clicking "search".  The url for the search page is: members.endurancenation.us/Communit...fault.aspx.

  • Adam, can you give me a search term that you are using so I can reproduce this. In the mean time you can use the search functionality on the home page. It will search forum, wiki and content.

I tried "swim ebook videos" with the "ANY keyword" option.  I also tried "ebook" alone.  Neither worked.

Interestingly, after your post I just tried "swim" by itself and it worked.  I then tried "swim videos" with the "ANY keyword" option, but this resulted in the error again.  So perhaps the "ANY keyword" option was/is the cause.

I also tried "ebook" and "eBook" separately; only the latter worked.  Are searches case-sensitive?  If so, perhaps that explains some of the errors in the past for me as well.

    Thanks for the fast response.

  • Just tried searching for "sufferfest", by searching for both subject, and subject and topic, and got the same error message as Mike did in the first post here.
  • Sorry Scott - I hear you! I am working on this but its a harder one to track down. In the meantime...go to the dashboard and search in the upper right hand corner and it will get you want you want.
