Weigh in 11/17

I'm back at it harassing you again this week.  I'm posting this late Tuesday as I'm not sure I will get on before work tomorrow morning.  It was a late night of homework for my university classes and to many bad snacks.  I'll call it right now at 228, staying steady for the week.

  • thanks for keeping us honest Gordon.  Good week for me, dropping back off the post Halloween candy rush.  249.6#

  • I'm up 2 pounds since wrapping up tri season at the end of August, thanks to the off-season and performing with a local musical theater company which features a dessert potluck at every rehearsal. Now that offseason and Valley Light Opera season are over, my challenge is to lose those 2 pounds and 5 more, to reach my 2011 goal weight of 140 pounds.
  • I'm up 1.5# from last week, but still down 0.5# from the week before.  That's to be expected I think because I'm sure the only reason I was down so much last week was due to being sick, so mostly fluid loss not fat loss.  I'm pretty much over the strep throat and should be able to get back into some kind of training groove again this week.

  • I'm up 1 lb too. I splurged with an out of town guest and I'm sure that's the culprit. Gotta stay focused so I don't get out of control over the holidays!
  • I'm up a tad, but hey, I'm in off season and am totally A-OK with that... I'll be watching and I have set a limit which I won't allow myself to cross (134).  If I can stay where I am now (132) and start the OS in Jan at that point I'll be pretty happy... so hopefully I can actually hit my race weight goal (125ish) come Sept.

  • I join the rest of the wrong-way crowd...grrr. I knew it wasn't a "good" week, but hadn't thought it would be that bad. I also track body fat%, and that went down, but i think it's unlikely I put on 2 lbs of muscle in a week.... OK, time to be good.
  • Down to 191.0 from 206.0. Looking for 176 lbs to make hills easier again. Tired of towing my group ride on the flats to the hills then being the caboose up them. Goal is 4.0 watts/kg this yr by July.

  • wierd, down 4.5lbs in the last week of my taper. Can't say that I changed anything, but I'll take it. 220 at the start line this Sunday in AZ, down from 267 last December. I really can't wait to start the OS because that is where I saw my biggest losses.

Thanks Gordon for keeping this going!
  • Unbelievable. Wednesday morning before I came to AZ I got on the scale and saw perfection. My goal race weight was 145. What did the scale say?

    145.0
    BF% - 8.9
    TBW - 59.7

    Great mojo.
  • Still at 204.5 with 12.5% BF this morning. So frustrating to not be moving lower.
  • Ugh, also stayed the same. My frustration is mounting. Let's hope the start of upper-body weight training starts turning the boat around.
