Movies I watch on the trainer

We have a thread for what people are reading so I figured with trainer season getting kicked into high gear I figured I would start a thread on what movies you like to watch on the trainer.

Two of my favorites are

1) Black Hawk down, makes the z-5 work go by easy

2) Blues Brothers

So team whatcha watchin?

  • I'm typically staring, transfixed to the PM. That is until I discovered the Sufferfest videos (Thank you, Hayes and Dan Forbes)---there's very well thought out and put together clips of pro cycling races. Link: http://www.thesufferfest.com/ I have Fight Club and Revolver. It's very inspiring as I feel like I'm riding on Tony Martin's wheel during the World Time Trial Championships...and then when Fabian Cancelllara shows up---what else would a warm-blooded woman do but turn herself inside out to keep up with his fine ass in that skinsuit?

Movies? Do DVD's of Tour de France count? image
  • TV, mostly. I once watched the entire series "The Sopranos" in a single OS. That's a lot of hours-in-saddle, and by April, my swearing was up by about 200%.

Currently it's the "Comedians of Comedy" series from Comedy Central. I nearly fell off my bike laughing at Patton Oswalt's standup act on Thursday.
  • I have the last 8 Ironman world championships and 4 other Ironmans from this year on the DVR. image Very interesting to see the various races and the differences in the courses...
  •  Since I never got around to watching BSG, I decided now would be a good time.  It should get me through the whole OS.

  • Tomb Raider
    Gross Point Blank
    Legally Blonde

    BSG?

  • Wanted
    Jumper
    Impostor
Tron (today) I'm stoked about the new one coming out.

Once the rides get longer during my 1/2IM /IM training I'm planning on LOTR movies.
  • Battle Star Galactica. Great show. I will prob. watch the shows during OS as well
  • TiVO of Daily Show and Colbert for OS. About an hour and I can pay attention or not. Doesn't matter if I remember any of it 10 minutes later. :-)
  • I am (still) watching the same 18 stages from the 2005 TdF that an old client gifted me back in the day. I suffer so much with the riding that it still seems bearable!
  • Me too with the TDF videos!
  • Babylon 5 - still on Season 1, so this will keep me going for a while
    House season 6
    Bourne Ultimatum
Got a bunch of action movies in the Netflix queue to get me through the OS
  • I just finished off a bunch of action movies and have moved on to "The Pacific". I'll be done by the end of the week and will have to find something new. I've got the last couple of years of the TDF, so I might try that, or maybe BSG as David suggested above.
