YLC Display vs. WKO data

In doing my Saturday workout of 2x10 of Z4 and 2x15 of Z3 I realized that what I'm seeing on the YLC computer display is different than what I'm finding in WKO.  YLC is set for avg 3 second watts.  So during my workout I was consistent in hitting the zones for my workout, but after uploading it, WKO is telling me that I was actually working about 10 watts lower, i.e. now I'm not hitting my zones.  Any idea why this would be happening?  Should my avg be 1 second?  I did 3 cause it seemed to smooth it out, but if I'm that off on my watts I should go to 1.  Could there be something with my PT?  Or is this just a discrepancy between the YLC and WKO that I should just account for?  I can recall noticing that this was happening while training over the summer, but I didn't give it tons of thought since I was having so many shifting system issues that also partially affected the readings I was getting from the PT.

  • There's been a thread on ST about time discrepancies between raw and downloaded. I'm not sure if your problem is related but a power tap rep has posted that they are working on a firmware update. FWIW
  • Yeah, I read about the time issues. After IMWI this year it was very apparent! Unfortunately I'm noticing a difference in watts. Not sure if this is usual difference or not...
  •  Are you capturing the interval on the YLC? How are you determining a section is high/low on the fly?

  • I'm only viewing real-time 3 sec average watts on the fly. It's showing me that I'm consistently in my target zones. But then when I download the data and am selecting that interval the watts are showing 10 points lower. So while I'm doing the work it seems like everything is peachy, it's not until after that I'm like WTF I didn't hit any of my targets, or did I?
