As a member of the young-ens crowd, I'd approve a pacifier as long as a walker or assistive walking device is present for the old-ens. It appears to be the case with this latest version of the pictures.
OK I'm too lazy to figure this out - how do I access/download the EN IM AZ OF logo? (I know how to put it in my sig - see below) once I get it. Gotta go .
@John - I tried to get your link to your pic and you can see by my sig that I couldn't get it....I then tried to save the pic myself and was unsuccessful....I can get to your pic but can't seem to get the link.....any thoughts????
Anybody got a link to the old farts pic.....I obviously need help.....
HI everyone!! I'm in with the chickas and oldies.... 2011 IM Arizona here I come. Did the race in 2009 after coming off a 6 month back injury, so walked the entire run, hope to make a big difference in 2011 training with EN. First race is 3/26 Showdown at Sundown. Will anyone be there? Also doing Boulder 70.3 I think I saw that on a post. Also have another race on 11/5 (i know 2 weeks before Arizona) Worlds, 3/4 Ironman, will be held in the US first time since 1996. Anyone going to be there? Have a great season and hope to meet up soon!! The oldies are going to kick butt!
I don't recall what was designated as the demarcation line between young and old. Anyone recall? (Maybe I should be in the OLD camp since I cannot remember, LOL)

I looked through this tread I don’t see that we made a clear determination of age for the young vs. Old.
So I looked at the data for the IMAX 2010 race and plotted the number of participants by age group. The peak for both men and women is the 40-44 group. I am guessing that the demographics of EN may be slightly older than that of the typical race.
I suggest we use less than 45 as the young team and 45 and older as the old team. I think that if EN being slightly older demographics assumption holds, we should end up with roughly a balanced participation in the 2 teams.
Looking back at the thread I don't see a post where I officially declared my spot on the young ones team. I am in for IMAZ -- racing as a young 39. Good luck everyone -- this is IM #1 for me.
PS - Where do I find the code to put the young IMAZ logo on my signature??? I wanna represent! ;-D
All I have to say is that Ambrose and I are on a tear! No whining about weight, or winter, or anything else. Just getting it done. When we get to IMAZ we are gonna run circles around the youngin's!
Just sayin'!
(that should stir up the ant hill for fun feedback)
I think we need to get an official 2011 IMAZ group/folder formed in the forum. This thread is in the IMAZ 2010 group thread; it's time for the 2011 Team EN AZ to get in one spot in the forum. Any smart peeps know how to get that accomplished?
Comments
@Dana - WOOHOO! NorCal in da Haus!
@David - I think we need pacifiers in the mouths of the youngsters in the pic.
@All - Looking forward to the next 12 months of training with you all.
Love the pics! too damn funny. you oldies sure a cane is stable enough??? a walker is the better assistive device....
Ok, I added pacifiers

Just use the "Link to this photo" link on the right of that page for the img src URL. Or download and use another way if you prefer.
Hi to Cheryl for me.

2011 A Race - IMAZ - Old Dudes Rock!
Not sure if I'm an oldie or a young-un (43....think that makes me on the older end of middle age?), but definitely with the chicas!!
IMAZ will be IM #2 for me....#1 is CDA in June. Terrified about that one. Looking forward to this adventure......EN style!
Delinda, Stephanie, Welcome!
Stephanie - there are a few of us doing the CDA/AZ double, nothing to be scared of.
@ Matt - I suggest we make the cut-off at age 55 - you and I and a few of our close friends would definitely walk (er, run) away with it.

@Greg - Check out this wiki page on how to update your signature: http://members.endurancenation.us/Resources/Wiki/tabid/108/Default.aspx?topic=pimp+your+signature
@John - You may run circles around us but we will be on the last lap of the run while you're starting your first.
