opened clif shot block shelf life

I did IMAZ yesterday, and split several packages of shot bloks for easy access on the bike.  Didn't end up using them (favored nibbling gu).  I wondered if anyone knows anything about how long they would keep for after I've opened them?  I sort of think they are kind of like gummy bears that keep forever if I bundle them back up?

I was thinking that they should last as long as a Twinkie - which means decades.

Even not "bundled back up," I have eaten some that were of very questionable age (I'm talking MONTHS) and other than getting a little hard (along the lines of the gummi bear analogy above) they are fine. Save them.

Julia- I have rolled them in powdered sugar and placed into zip lock, they kept for months.

This discussion reminds me of that McDonalds happy meal that was left out for 6+ months without mold.

With all the scientists in da haus, should I expect an experiment sometime soon?
