WKO Pace help

Hello Pace Brain Trust.

Please redirect me to another thread if it's out there.

I have no problem using WKO for power on the bike, but my run/pace numbers seem crazy. The TSS scores are way off the charts: 262 for today's 60 minute run, 83 for yesterday's 15 minute transition run. What do I set the Pace Threshold number to? Min/mile or Min/k. My Garmin 405 is showing pace as Min/mile but I read my bike speeds as K/hr. In my Pace Distribution Chart all my time running seems to be in Zone 5c!!!

Dazed and confused,

Elly

  •  Hi Elly,

I am using WKO 2.2. I set the pace training zones (for running) in time/mile. I took a quick look and don't see an option for km. I hope that helps.

  • Hey Rubin, thanks for the suggestion. I've tried that with no success. Every run is showing an IF of over 1.51!!!
  • Your WKO+ usually defaults to Performance Cyclist. If you select Runner from the drop down box on the top of the page, and then set up your Pace Training Zones and Heart Rate Zones that should fix the problem.
  • Hello Al. Thanks for the reply. I think I've got it licked now. The problem was k vs miles. I set my Zones to Minutes/Kilometers and that seemed to work. For some reason, I'm completely set up in WKO for metric, even though my Garmin 405 is showing pace in Minutes/Mile.....Go Figure!

    Thanks again,
    Elly
  • Hi Elly,

Are you on WKO 3.0 or 2.2? I am on 3.0 and mine works ok importing from my 310XT. In the default "Settings" (bottom left of screen I have set "Default Units" to "Metric").

Then in "Athlete Home" under "Pace Zones" I set the threshold pace in min/km (and all the various zones too). Make sure it is Pace Training Zones you are editing. The attached screen shot is how mine is set if that helps?

Not sure if there is anything else - let me know if that works, or if we need to keep looking.

    Regards

    Kevin

  • Thank you Kevin! I didn't see the Settings tab at the bottom of the page...very counter intuitive...Settings are usually in a drop down tap on the top! It seems I have to choose one or the other for all the sports. I might just keep it all metric for WKO. No need to change if my Garmin is showing pace in my preferred Min/mile format.

    Thanks again!

  •  Hey no probs - yeah WKO is not the most intuitive product I have used...  and yes it is a global setting unfortunately....
