WKO data entry

Did my 25 min run on the treadmill today using Garmin 405, uploaded to WKO and worked fine but because run was on treadmill did not have distance in file. Tried and tried to find a way to manually enter the distance so could calculate everything and create those nifty charts but to no avail. Can anybody tell me if possible to add data manually and if not what do you do with such workouts.

Thanks

Bill

  • if you have a comparable workout already saved in WKO, I would manually enter that same TSS score for this workout.  That would be the easiest.  You can do that in the calendar screen. right click on the day and create a new workout.  the black workout is then populated, right click again and select override values.

I would also recommend the Gamin footpad for running on the treadmill.  I like the added distance and candence metrics, and am ok with any discrepency in the actual miles/calibration error that might exist

  • Garmin footpod is the best way to go.

You cannot manually create a workout in WKO+ that has all the intervals, speeds, etc. Just sucks. I asked this question directly to the WKO support folks not 2 months ago.
  • Thanks guys. Also think there is a place to manually enter your tss, but you would have to manually calculate it. Does not seem to make a whole lot of sense that you cannot manually enter a workout but maybe they do that so you have to sign up for the premium TrainingPeaks subscription.

    Thanks again.
  • I also use the footpod, however when I do a manual entry I do it as two separate workouts. For example if the workout is 3 x 1mi @ TP and I run for an hour total, I would create two manual workouts. The 1st would be 18' @ TP, and the other would be 42' @ EP. Not exact but at least it is better than entering 1 hour at whatever the average pace was. This way the pace distribution charts are still somewhat accurate.
  • Matt,

So you can enter a manual workout into WKO? Thought I tried to figure that out but maybe I was just trying to change data that I uploaded and would not let me. Will look into that.

    Thanks
  • Correct, there is an enter manual workout option under the file menu.
