How has everyone been doing with the Christmas parties and gatherings?

I'm even this week at 230 lbs

  • i added a few but have things under control now.  I'm at 200 and steady.

  • Good week. Got diet back under control at 2000 cal/day. Dropped 2.5 pounds. Still up 1.5 for the OS but feeling better heading forward. Also watched Biggest Loser last night with wife for a little extra diet control motivation. I will not carry this 45 pound tire for 70.3 in May!!
  • oddly, I didn't weigh myself today... very unlike me... but so far this off season I've been in my "acceptable" range (weighed in yesterday at 133.2... I don't want to go above 134).  I started the pre-OS yesterday and have been paying more attention to mostly primal eating lately... not to say I've cut wine or dessert... but I'm definitely cutting back on desserts to only a couple of times a week... which will be crucial now that my party season is ramping up.  If I can start Jan OS in the 132ish range I'll be happy (started last year at 139 - and finished the season around 130, a few lbs up from my ideal race weight).  If all goes well, that will put me in a good position to get to and stay at 125 come June!

  • My Birthday celebration extended for more than a day, thankfully I recovered and stayed steady byweeks end. Stay the course, it could always be worse....

  • Great job everyone on mostly holding steady! With the holidays in full swing, this is now when the fun really begins! I'm doing pretty good and thankfully work from home so no "office party" to ruin it all! If I can start the OS in Jan at this weight I'll be in good shape.
  • I went the wrong way this week, up 1.6 pounds. It's not the holidays, it's the telecommuting, with the constant temptation to graze from the nearby pantry. I've started keeping a simple food diary, and I'll be posting it with each week's weigh-in. I think being accountable to you all on this will be a tremendous help.
  • With trepidation I got on the scale this morning. I've been avoiding it due to some indulgent eating over Thanksgiving and last weekend's holiday party. I was pleasantly surprised to find that I'm holding steady at a good number (~124) I guess the good eating I do on most days has been good enough to counter act the indulgences. I will be very happy if I can just keep with this number until Jan 1.
