Wanted to see what the interest would be in a beer swap within the team?  Beer distribution is quite shit in the US.  Lots of great breweries cannot ship to certain areas.  It's pretty frustrating for a beer guy like me that I cannot get some great beers from CA, OR, MI etc...  I figure there has to be some other folks out there who like beer and like ot try good beers they have not had, and cannot obtain in their area.  So I figure we have a national, and hell, international team, so why not leverage that and spread some beer love. 

So here is what I am thinking.  If you want in, say so in the thread here.  Include what you like to drink and maybe what you would love to try.  I'm thinking we try to swap at least once a month to start.  We can pair off by regions.  For example, maybe west coast matches with midwest and east coast matches with south.  Really depends on who wants in.  We could then all taste our wares on the same night and post about it. 

I'm just throwing this out there thinking aloud.  Anyone have any other ideas to make it easier or better I am all ears. 

 

Anyone notice I have a lot of beer posts?

    Why don't we do this like book swap sites? If you have something worthy of sharing, and are willing to ship, post to the thread. If you want something you can't get, likewise post.

    I'm offering up my services for this one. I live in Northern Italy and have access to some German, Slovene, and Austrian beers, as well as the couple that are popular in Italy.

    I really don't know how shipping liquids from Europe to the States works with customs forms and such, so if someone here is smart on that please inform.
