Gray menu vs. Red menu

Continuing the theme of problems on the iPad...

The site has two different versions of the main menu - one is gray, and one is red.  The red one is visible in the forums, and the gray one is just about everywhere else.

The problem is how the gray menu works on the iPad (and I would guess it's the same on the iPhone).  In order to get the drop down menu to drop on an iPad, one has to click on the primary item (like "Community") because it seems that the hover event never fires.  But clicking on the primary menu item takes iPad users to an "Access denied" page (even if you do not have an iPad, you can test this by clicking, rather than hovering over, the Community menu item).  On a PC based browser, the dropdown happens when hovering, but it doesn't do that on an iPad.

On the red menu though, clicking on the primary menu option does cause the drop down - which is very helpful for us iPad folks!

Just a note for iPad peeps in the interim - when you get to that Access denied page, it HAS the red menu - so once you are there you can use the menu to navigate to the page you want.

    I know you're just giving us feedback and sharing your observations with the Team in order to help them but we're seeing "these" kinds of threads more often. I just want to reiterate:

    • EN is a zero sum game, ie, there is only so much time, money, and brainpower available for us to throw at problems, issues, enhancements, solutions, etc.
    • I can tell you right now that getting EN to work flawless/do backflips on your iPod/iPhone/iPad/Blackberry/Crackberry/Strawberry/Blueberry is low on our list of priorities.

    EN is, literally, a 3-man shop, with only one of us smart enough to do the things y'all want done, but we have him tied up helping us build the better coaching stuff that you guys are paying us for.

    Again, not directed at you but a general shout out to the team. Thanks for understanding.
