typing in forums on iphone

Not sure if this is user error.  I have no problems accessing the EN site using Safari on my iphone, however I can not type on the forums.  I can get to the page but it doesn't seem to recognize the message box as a text box.  I can type in subject and suummary and even put in smilies.

Suggestions?

  • Carly I had this problem as well but was told to doubletap the text box and you should be all set.  The "Paste" box should show up but just start typing and it should work out fine.

  • Carly I have the same issue with my iPad where I am right now. I tried Tuckers solution, doesn't work, but I've found that Qick Reply box does bring up my onscreen keyboard.
  • I can't speak for the iPad but just used my method to reply on my iPhone hear. Maybe I did more than a "tap" though. Kind of a feel thing.
  • Al thanks. Typing in quick reply right now.

Tucker- I have tried tapping every way I could think of with no luck.

Just glad to have a way to respond as I rarely get on my ancient computer at home.
  • Oh my apologies, I should have stated I meant the quick reply box. The normal reply doesn't work for me either. I do need to tap multiple times for my keypad to appear on the quick reply box.
  • I can not type replies to any forums on my ipad. Could it be an issue with the website? Has RnP been brought up to speed with this issue? I have been able to generate a response, type in the subject line but then when I try to type in the main body my keyboard will not come up. I have tried tapping multiple ways and still no luck.

    Thanks, Greg

  • Yes, we are looking at it. I know iPad usage is increasing but right now I am tracking that <1% of the team is coming to the site using the ipad so its a little lower on the list than some things. BUT - there is a new editor coming and I will do my best to make sure you can use the iPad with it as long as RnP buy me one to test with <img src='http://members.endurancenation.us/DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default//emoticons/smile.gif' align="absmiddle" border="0" />
