The 2011 Charity Program Is Live--- EN WANTS TO GIVE YOU MONEY

Folks, we committed to giving away $2,000 per month, $24,000 this year -- as 8 x $250 -- to EN folks rasiing money for a charity. Even if you aren't going in for the long haul, creating a fundraising page to a charity can take as much as 60 seconds...so do it so we can give our money to something you care about.

  • Nice! I just switched my Boston slot to a charity slot so that I could raise some cash for a healthy kids charity. time to start using the power of the clinic to do some good versus just race. image
  • Great Stuff - I'll be raising $ again this year for LiveSTRONG, so will keep this in mind. You guys just raised the haus an additional step in my mind - well done! image
  • Thanks folks...but make us keep our promise! Please! Rich keeps telling me about the Coach Dick Foundation that donates beers to thirsty ex-Marines...seems kinda suspect!
  • Kudos to RnP for their charity support!  It never ceases to amaze me how awesome you guys are!  I will certainly be using this once I get my fundraising website up and running.  I actually joined EN to help me finish IMLou for charity.

ReserveAid is a charity that grants money to military families that are suffering financial hardship from their service to our country.   www.reserveaid.org

Last summer when I floated the idea of doing an Ironman to raise money for ReserveAid to a few friends of mine, they said I was absolutely crazy.  After about 10 people told me I was crazy I knew I was on to something so I signed up for IMLou.  I set a goal of $1,000 per mile ($140,000) for the entire Team ReserveAid team, which I had not yet recruited members.

I have since recruited many friends (and my wife) to join me.  Team ReserveAid is now 19 members strong (none of the 19 of us has ever done an IM).  2 of us have joined EN and a couple others have bought EN training plans.  Most of the others on our team are on the "I just want to finish under 17 hrs" traditional IM training method which is totally fine with me...

Most people say Louisville at the end of August is way too hot for an Ironman...  My response is simply "It's hotter in Iraq and Afghanastan than Louisville and I won't be wearing fatigues, or being shot at!"

  • Yet another reason I'm glad I joined EN!!!

As someone who's life had been personally touched by MS, I ride our local MS 150 every year.

Look for me in Sept to be fund-raising!!

    Thanks

  • Yay folks....thanks for your support!
  • Just wanted to say THANK YOU RnP. Your $250 donation to my Timberman fundraising for Make-A-Wish of NH just put them over their $60K goal for the event. Awesome!
