queston:
curious wy there is a gap between the top of one power zone and the bottom of the other? EG top of zone 4 is 200 bottom of 5 is 220, etc. this is based on a tested FTP of 200
I also have a question of what wattage to ride... pre OS testing i was doing some 3x8' (4') intervals at 205/210... should i be using that to push my Z4 intervals harder? or do as prescribed above?

The gaps are intentional! Where did the perception that 150 beats per minute had a Zone 1 effect but 152 beats per minute had a Zone 2 effect ever come from? Sure, it looks a lot neater, but it's not really that accurate. With our focus on training with power and pace, we have refined all of our intensity guidance to drop a lot of the noise in the zones and have you focus on what matters!
