A couple of things I haven't figured out with the Joule & WKO+
I didn't seem to get anything more than the quick start guide to the Joule; and the WKO+ seems to be a 'learn on the go' system also. I've only ridden twice, downloaded those rides without any problems. I've run twice, and manually entered those, in a VERY basic form.
Keep in mind that I haven't tested, yet, but WKO+ seems to 'calculating' an FTP based on these 2 rides. I plan on testing this coming Saturday (probably). And I'm 2/3 of the way thru the Power Webinar, with File Analysis left to view.
Here's some things I haven't quite figured out....
1. How do I get the Joule to display IF, VI, or Pnorm? I hit the joystick button when Watts is highlighted and it rotates thru Watts, MaxWatts, and AvgWatts. Is it helpful to have IF, VI, or Pnorm displayed?
2. Manual Workout Entry for the run...Seems to limit me to entering a duration, a distance, and a HR. I don't see an opportunity to customize intervals. Therefore, my rTSS is calculated to be much lower than it is in reality, right?
3. I haven't seen anything on the rTSS. I know it calculates this. Applies it to the CTL and ATL, I believe. But, I haven't eyeballed it anywhere.
4. When doing a post-ride analysis, I'm having a hard time highlighting (with the dragging cursor) more than one interval at a time. I see the workout recaps in the forums, with each 'work' interval's details posted. I am stuck at highlighting, say, a 20' min interval, eyeballing the details over on the right sided summary section, then, when I highlight a new section on the graph, the summary changes to the new section and the history of the old one goes away. How do I keep each summary so I can review each interval? And, do you just copy/paste from that to our forums?
I expect that I'll be bumping this thread as more questions pop up.
Thanks for the help,
Chris

WKo+ has default user data that you need to change in your athlete profile. That is where the data is calc'ing from until you enter your FTP.
1. I use power agent to configure my device. Very fast and easy.
2. We have a spreadsheet that Joel and I worked on that allows you to enter interval data and its sums up your total rTss. Check the power and pace forum. Joel started the thread. Here it is:

3. You can create your chart to include Run, Bike only or Bike + Running etc. The rTss will be applied to the chart as when you set it up.
4. Yes, you just copy and paste. When you have the section highlighted, there is a box you can check (when checked it looks like an eyeball) and that will save the section. 99% anyway, at work and not in front of my home pc.
1. Power Agent? Where? Wha? Is that at CycleOps.com?
2 & 3. Thanks, I'll look into that.
4. K, will try that.
Thx
yeah should have came w/ your joule as well, it is cyclops/saris attempt at software but it is halfway useful for doing things like updating the joule's firmware as well as some of the setting that are easier than doing via joystick/softkeys. You can also download it
you can d/l it here
