Chipped Elbow?
Docs,
While I'm not a doctor, I did stay in a Holiday Inn Express last night and so feel pretty confident diagnosing myself .
As you may know, I crashed on the bike last Wednesday, with road rash on my knee, elbow and hip. The road rash is a non issue and healing well but the elbow is a little different.
I have some weird point pain on the very tip of the elbow and can sorta feel something moving if a manipulate the area. But day to day activites I have no pain, full range of motion in arm, hands, wrist, everything is groovy. I can even press my elbow hard into my other hand (spreading out the load) and the pain is no big deal. But if I take a finger and find "the spot" and tweak that...wow...and like I said I think I can feel something moving.
Anything I should be worried about? If it is chipped or whatever, is there anything that can be done? Basically, I'm saying I don't want to spend 5hrs in an ER to be told...yep...you have a small fracture but nothing we can do about it. If it hurts, don't do that, otherwise just go about your day, move along nothing to see...
Joanne and I are talking our first snowboard lessons = elbow pads and pretty sure I'm going to fall and pretty sure it's going to hurt like a bitch if I nail it just right.

Self exam. But sounds like a cracked bone in a benign place.
Will get sticky over 2weeks and pain to touch will subside shortly after. You
Can likely snowboard, just will hurt if you land on it.
G
2 things that it might be; a small non-displaced fracture or a inflamed bursa
can you straighten your elbow without any problems?
where exactly is the pain? can you point to it in a photo?
agree with GH, not likely to cause you problems, and you're also not likely to land on your elbow snowboarding. more wrist and shoulder injuries with boards
