TSS budget for HIM
I have seen TSS figures for the IM bike leg but haven't seen the same for HIM. Does anyone have some numbers for that?
Thanks

@Ian
In the wiki under HIM execution, there is a link to a download about the bike and TSS / IF levels for both IM and HIM. I don't remember exactly but the guidance is somewhere in the high 70s to the mid 80s as a percentage of FTP based on how long you plan to ride. The Race Simulations in the training plan will help you nail down what works best for you. [Caveat - I am a nooB.]
Thanks, I will take another look. I know the FTP target is usually specified as 80-85% but don't remember seeing the TSS. But I sometimes suffer from CRS syndrome
This guidance is in the Excel spreadsheet titled EN Power Racing Calculator. You can find it in the Power Racing download. I will attempt to attach it to this reply too.
Ian et al: The best place in the wiki to find what you need is in "Race Execution, Half Ironman" (look in the wiki index). About half way down, under "Bike Pacing", find a link called "Half and Full Ironman Bike Execution". That's the "Long Course Bike Pack". You're looking for slide #8 in the pdf file called "Coaches Call Long Course Bike Execution." Of coursde, to understand that slide, you'll need to read the wiki page and the associated materials, especially in the zip file you download. This plus the calculator Beverly noted are the distilled essence of EN bike/race execution strategy.
Al,Beverly - Thanks. Exactly what I was looking for.
Cheers
