OS week16

Thought I would get the ball rollin this week. Hope all you OOS folks are doing well and hitting your new marks. Today was tough on the run for me. Had to really push to hit pace zones but was able to get there. After my 4X 1/2 mile reps had to bag the HMP stuff legs were to shot.

  • This week has been a little tough mentally for me. We are sort of getting close to the end but still 5 weeks to go and I definitely feel some fatigue. I guess it's a really good time to work that mental six pack. Hope everyone else is feeling strong.
  • Hi all. back lurking and I can imagine the fatigue. i felt that way in week 12 before the marathon (3:30 btw, about 10min slower due to ITB issues). If it is any consolation or motivation, all the work that we are doing really is noticeable on race day. My HR was easily 6-7 bpm lower than I expected from past experience at marathon pace.

    i am a few weeks behind, but will hopefully end at the same level of fitness as the rest of you. Keep it up.
  • Agreed - rough week on the run and bike, starting to feel it really settle in as fatigue.ย  Need to rest up a litttle more and perhaps get more sleep.ย  Felt wiped out after the workouts and at times struggled with my new numbers, hopefully will settle into the tougher workouts this week and start to get much stronger.
