Weigh in 1/26/11

Another Wednesday and another weigh in.  Just maintaining this week.  Fell off on the good nutrition while writing assingments for school but not too badly.  I held at 234.

Here's the usual link to the spreadsheet.

  • great to hear you held despite the bad nutrition week!

I'm down a bit more (about a pound), the cleanse seems to be working... one more week to go.  I'm still a few pounds heavier than my once upon a time normal weight... and I'd really like to get there before the cleanse is over (another 2-4#).  More importantely, I hope I'll be able to maintain the weight loss when I'm off the cleanse routine.  I'd like to think I'm picking up some good habits, here!

  • I had a good week. I'm down 3 to 148. Think I finally may have started rutning things around. I don't think that delta is entirely real. Probably some combination of last week being a bit high and this week being a bit low, but I think it was definitely a week of progress. Looking in the mirror, I think I'm down from a month ago.
  • William, I seem to have found the 3 you lost :-0

Amazing what a week of travel and all day long business parties can do to the scale! OUCH! I'm happy to be home again where I can control my diet a lot more. I don't know how sales people do it- that life would kill me.
  • Hopefully have stopped the bleeding and headed back in the right direction. Down 1 lb this week to 169.
  • Finally! Down 1.6
I had a strong feeling I was down, and the scale decided to die on me this morning. I spent about 10 minutes digging around for a new battery - that's how sure I was! Needless to say I was late to work. It was worth it
  • Woo hoo! Down 2 lbs from last week. (120.4) Plus I've been doing measurements every week (thigh, waist, hips) and so I know the loss is real. I'm even getting comments from friends who notice the difference. I'm so close to getting below that elusive 120 mark that I can taste it. Maybe next week....
  • Nice work everyone!! I am even this week, still at 176.2. My consolation for not losing anything this week is my wife kindly mentioned last night that she thought I looked thinner. I feel thinner so I was surprised to not see any weight loss when I stepped on the scale this morning. Maybe my circuit training routine has added some muscle ;-D -- at least that is the story I am telling everyone this week!
  • I had a good week too, down 2.5 pounds. Hoping that the small changes I'm making will start adding up. I need to be held more accountable to myself (and get rid of the random snacks I have stored for Super Bowl that are tempting me too much!)
  • I'm just joining this group. Why not? I am in week 2 of JOS. Hungry, but keeping track of food & exercise with the LoseIt app. Used it before with pregnancy #2 and lost 50. Now, 6 months postpartum with #3, looking forward to more results. Love burning calories! So far have lost 30 since day of birth. Down 1.8 from last week when I started exercising and recording everything. Feels good!
  • I'm just joining the group too.  Hopefully I'll remember it is here next week.
I started trying to lose in January.  I was about 208 on Jan 1.
I lost 1.5-2lbs that first week so down to 206.
Dropped to 204 in week 2.
Due to some big football games and too much food on the weekends making me heavier on Monday mornings I am sitting in at 203 right now.  I suspect with a normal weekend under my belt I'm a bit less as eating more than I should Sunday night is not good.
    The goal - 190lbs.
  • Down a fraction 0.2 to 265.8 but I will take it. Youngest had B-day last week-end so things were a little off but total calorie count for the week should have lost 2 pounds. Oh well down a little is better than up a little.
  • @Nemo

The thing that kills me is continual access to food and that I cook things that I like... Just not being around infinite choices (travel) might be good for me if I made wise choices while actually at restaurant!
  • Restaurants I'm usually pretty good with, it's the dang conference foods and the cookies/snacks at breaks! Oh, and I guess the tequilla had a few cals in it too image
  • On the road now...no idea what I weigh....will have to wait until Tuesday for the weigh-in. I've been a good camper this week on the road...no blow out binges, lots of workouts. The tough meal for me is breakfast. Any tips or hints from other business travellers? I'm starting to get sick of a yogurt container and a banana, but don't want to go down in flames with a greasy breakfast special.
  • My only advice is to avoid the Tex Mex restaurant in Dallas that had Tequilla on tap. image

That's just about ALL of them, Nemo!

  • Starbucks oatmeal is my go-to on the road - the nice baristas will give you all of the add-ins, nuts, fruit, etc.

Bonus - may help to absorb excess tequila
