Any Issues with Switching from Windows to Mac?
My HP laptop is on its last leg and as I begin searching for a replacement, I am giving serious consideration to a Mac.
Has anyone else made the switch? Worthwhile? Any issues with Power Agent, Training Center or WKO+?
Any advice or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

- maintain a separate Windows machine for that purpose only (even a cheap netbook)
- use something like BootCamp or Fusion to run WKO (under Windows OS) on your Mac
- do without WKO.
This question comes up regularly, and I am a Mac user.
I've written a Wiki post here: http://members.endurancenation.us/Resources/Wiki/tabid/108/Default.aspx?topic=WKO++options+for+Mac+Users
I have no troubles seamlessly integraing WIndows and Mac OS with my workout logging and analysis needs, using Parallels to create a virtual windows machine to house things like WKO+, CompuTrainer software, Power Agent, and Training Peaks Erg+. I can't, however, seem to get Power Agent to work on the Mac side for some reason. I do keep the Windows side isolated from the internet to protect my machine.

My machine is a bit old in the tooth and I had poor luck with Fusion. Just interminably slow (and I know people report both good and bad results there. I just wish I knew what the difference was). Haven't tried Parallels. But I'm also not especially motivated to do it, since my free-but-slightly tedious workaround is fine for me, and I don't have a computrainer... But if I were to give it another go, I'd do some research in that direction.
OK, I got my first Mac in '85....
Mac here.
Poweragent works fine. I bought Office for Mac (Word, Excel, and PP, only use Word and Excel). 95% of everything I do is cloudbased so OS is largely a none issue.
For now I'm downloading everything into PA and, when I get serious about tracking my stuff, I'll probably use Joanne's older Windows laptop as a WKO+ machine. I don't want to put Windows, Paralells, etc on this Mac.
