From OS to HIM

I am currently on week 12 of OS training and need to transition to HIM plan for a race on May 7.  I would like to do my final OS test in week 14, rest the remainder of the week and start the HIM training on 21 Feb which will give me 11 weeks of HIM training.  Couple of questions:

1)This is my first tri - is this timeline to aggressive?

2) Is doing the final test important enough for me to continue to do the OS training up to that point then take about a week off or should I omit the week 14 test all together and use that time as R&R time?

3) I will need to skip an OS week to be able to fit one last week of OS training in and then do the test.  Is skipping a week ok or am I setting myself up for failure?

3) How do I go about switiching from one plan to the next?

I am currently on week 12 of OS training and need to transition to HIM plan for a race on May 7.  I would like to do my final OS test in week 14, rest the remainder of the week and start the HIM training on 21 Feb which will give me 11 weeks of HIM training.  Couple of questions:

1)This is my first tri - is this timeline to aggressive? Nope, you're good. If you want, you could up your long bike and long volume in the last couple weeks to whatever length you feel comfortable with, to get a head start on the HIM plan.

    2) Is doing the final test important enough for me to continue to do the OS training up to that point then take about a week off or should I omit the week 14 test all together and use that time as R&R time? I think you should carry on and do the final testing

    3) I will need to skip an OS week to be able to fit one last week of OS training in and then do the test.  Is skipping a week ok or am I setting myself up for failure? Nope, you're fine.

    3) How do I go about switiching from one plan to the next? Go to your My Training Plan Page. See "Important Links" on the right and "Move/Change My Plan".
