The "What Gains have You Made in the OS, or...Where's My Cofee, Bitches!" Thread :-)
So...
It's early February and I know many people have, are, or will soon exit the OS plan:
- What gains have you made on the bike?
- What gains have you made on the run?
- Any body composition, strength, flexibility or other gains?
- What significant things have you learned about about yourself, endurance training, or any other observations you'd like to share with us.
Finally, we'd like to remind about our little Heads We Win, Tails You Lose Bet. This is an actual, no kidding, you owes us coffee $$ bet so, win or lose, pay up!! See our respective signatures for Starbux pimpage details!

Never did a predict about what my FTP and VDot would be at the end of the OS. Sent the info in. Direction please.
Sure, but get your peeps to pay up.
@Brenda
The spreadsheet is at:
https://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc...pPED#gid=0
Starting Vdot: 33.8, Predicted Vdot: 36.3, Week 15 Vdot: 38.6 ..........I win!
Starting FTP: 164, Predicted FTP: 185, Week 15 FTP: 201 ..........I win!
Really enjoying the Haus so far! SAUs are strong.....(buying Jane a PM and lots of issues of ProCycling helped too. I balked at her request of a spa weekend with Heinrich Hausler though!) No problems with injuries or burnout. Weight is down from 179 to 171 and on track for a 163 goal.
In short, I've learned a ton from the coaches and team, am enjoying my training, and am happy drinking the EN koolaid!
Two non-fat, grande, chai lattes coming up..............
@Coach Rich. I can't find a Sbux link on Patrick's signature and he doesn't show up on the member list. What gives?
P is off the Starbuck's. I believe he has a link to his Amazon wish list.
Wow, there are some serious double digit gains on that spreadsheet.
Shhh... I never paid up for 2010. I need to do it before anyone notices. Or wait, I never did a final test.
Will try to remember tonight. I have truly appreciated all of your guidance. And I can't wait until May TOC!
Also Rich, can you populate an FTP for me? You only put an expected bike split time and that race is not happening this year so no FTP, no coffee.

OS marathons bad!!
Gotta push myself to hit the FTP prediction and win the chance to cough up 2 bucks. I may ride myself off the cliff
@ Elly & @ Brenda, the spreadsheet is here:

My Nov OS: starting VDOT of 38, prediction of 41, week 15 test 42.3. Starting FTP 202, prediction of 220, week 15 test 222.
With 5.5 weeks left, the predictions have been beat, but my goals are still to come: Vdot of 44 and FTP of 235.
The haus has been very, very good to me.
Rich, coffee is on the way. If Patrick is still off the caffine, I will beer him instead.
John
Unfortunately for Coach Rich he didn't enter a prediction for my FTP, not sure why but most likely reason is that he was afraid of losing
Final testing next week so I will update with my new number at that time.
Starting VDoT - 33
2nd Test VDot - 36.2
Final VDoT - TBD
Coach P Prediction VDot - 36
Starting FTP 181
2nd Test FTP 206
