If you plan to do a re-order, would it be possible to get a cycling jersey in large, and a tri short in large? I understand if you can't.
If you can, let me know and I'll get it ordered on the site?
Thanks,
Scott, we just took orders for a new round of tri and cycling kit, closing out the order in January. We should see those items from Capo and LG in April. We sent out several emails. Did you not see those?
Folks, the deal is this: from the time we place an order with Capo and LG to when we get it and ship it out to you is about 2 months, sometimes as long as 3mo. In my 7yrs+ of doing uniforms I've never understood why it takes this long to get stuff manufactured...but there it is.
At the same time, this stuff is very, very expensive so we are extremely leary of maintaining an inventory to satisfy the onesies and twosies orders, especially of odd sizes. Something as harmless as 10 x bibs, 10 x jerseys, and 20 tri tops is north of $2.5k sitting in a box, hoping that it sells. Add to this hats, shirts, visors, etc and that box is $5k and it gets bounced around to camps and races, hoping that you want to buy it .
So, as I hope you can understand, we are really trying to handle all of this on a Just In Time inventory basis: you place an order with us, we place the order with LG and Capo, we ship it, it fits and you like it.
If it doesn't fit and/or you don't like it, you leverage the 600+ people on the team to find someone who wants it. If you can't, we work with you to either refund or exchange it by dipping into the very small inventory of stuff that we keep on hand (this is what we are looking to establish now, see my first post in this thread, just now editted). But this course of action is the last resort, after other options have been exhausted, for the reasons I've outlined above.
Thanks for understanding our position and we sincerely appreciate you training and racing in our kit. On the bright side, it's good to be having these conversations and trying to fix it in February vs May or June .
In the future, it may be helpful if the second order was still open until after the first oder shipped to peeps, so folks who missed an item or cant find the right size could have a chance to re-order. I understand that timing is a huge issue and you have no control over manufacture time. Just a thought....
Bottom line is I LOVE my new kit and cant wait to fly my colors at my next race!
@Steve - That's a good idea. Maybe schedule it such that the "next order" closes 14 days after the "previous order" was shipped. The "previous order" people would then have at least 1 week to get their returns in and get on the "next order" (only would need to pay for S/H again). Side benefits: A few people on the "next order" would get their gear immediately (they'd get "previous order" returns)...and this avoids requiring little, if any, inventory. I know, I know...this could turn into a logistical nightmare. Just my 2 cents.
Coach R - The gear is awesome and we really appreciate you guys coordinating this all. Maybe more people need to charge your Starbucks card.
For anyone like myself who can't find a pair of shorts that fit or somebody to trade with (give me your men's M shorts!), I thought I'd add that DeSoto shorts seem like they'd match pretty well. Forza Riviera for men & Carrera for the womens.
I know, I know...this could turn into a logistical nightmare.

Yes...it would. This basically turns EN into a retail clothing company with RnPnJnSnR as shipping and receiving clerks. Seriously, this stuff is incredibly time consuming but we're working on some solutons.
It was my fault that the e-mails that came through on the re-order were getting caught in my junk folder, so I didn't see them until it was too late. I have that fixed now, so the next re-rder e-mails I should see and be able to get my kit then :-)
Thank You for all of you and your families hard work with this!

But the idea of a re-order window would help anyone needing something missing or as a duplicate...that seems easy enough

No Worries :-)
