 Man, I love me my Fridays...no workout, kids in daycare, it's like a whole new lease on life. Pumped for this weekend as we have a bday party (my Father-in-Law) and then a full day of family time on Sunday. Maybe we'll go hog wild and rent a movie tonight...what are you up to???

Loving my Friday as well although it would be nice if just once I was able to take advantage of the rest day and sleep a little longer. Body in a groove / routine and just wants to wake before 5am and go. Full day at work for me today. My son ordered a DVD from Netflix which arrives today so it'll be movie night. Snowboarding with family tomorrow and then Sunday it's back to home projects to prepare the house to put it on the market and try to sell. Stressful time for the family right now so just trying to spend the weekends together doing family stuff to take mind off the uncertainty in our life. Nice for a change to not have to deal with any snow clean up activities (shoveling, raking snow off roof, etc).

You say "going snowboarding" like I say "walking the dog"...like it is just another thing! I am so jealous. I LOVE skiing & snowbording...and it is just not something I can do more than one week a year. So, if nothing else...feel blessed for that!

Sat bike trainer wko then mid major college hoops at George Mason U, go Pats! Then Sunday high school hoops at its best, always epic #4 Gonzaga vs DeMatha, go Eagles!
Sunday outside ride in 55 and sunny to rekindle the bike love.

Home Depot, maybe Bed Bath and Beyond....I don't know if we'll have time....

Yoga DVD this morning. First time in awhile, and man are my hips tight!

Most of tomorrow will be at my son's swim meet, which hopefully won't go too long. Afterwards, family time enjoying the nice weather - we are supposed to get into the mid 40's tomorrow. Woo hoo! Melt that snow!

Sunday is the Eenie Meanie half marathon at a local park. Two loops on a paved trial in the woods. The meanie part is the hills!

Lunch with an awesome gal who has done 5 ironmans, then skating tonight with the kids. Bike workout on the trainer tomorrow am, then a Valentines Day party at the local community house with the kids, then dinner with a friend who hasn't seen the baby since birth ( now 6 months). Sunday run workout then I try to have special time with one of the kids. This weekend it's a show with middle child, age 3. Going to Lilly & the Plastic Purple Purse. -I may sneak in my Triathlete & Lava magazines then it's gear up for the work week again!

I'm volunteering at a local 8K Sweetheart race on Saturday. It's a cool event where there's a competition for fastest couple as well as the standard AG awards. I'll be working timing at the finish line so I should be busy! I am hoping to go for a walk/run on the trails in the afternoon.

Sat night is a pot luck dinner party with the local tri club which should be lots of fun. Sunday the temps are supposed to warm up and I plan to do my OS ride followed by an extra hour of ABP stuff. Gotta get my sit bones ready for TOC :-)

It's been a very hectic past few weeks for me and it seems like I am finally turning the corner on something big. Another day at the office today, but a feels like a big weight off my shoulders slowly being lifted and enjoying Friday very much all the same.

Getting excited for the weekend though, heading to DC through Monday for a series of interviews for one of those "iif I told you, I'd have to kill ya" deals.

Final long run in prep for Hyannis half, group computrainer ride on Sunday with local team, remove another 3-4000 pounds of snow from the roof, and clear out the mailbox so that we can start getting mail delivered again.

Oh, and hopefully see my kids for a bit :-)

New plan, after seeing the rest of the TOC routes, I think I'm gonna spend my weekend sneaking behind park rangers to do hill repeats up the Wright Bro Memorial (the only thing we've got around here that looks anything like a hill). OUCH!

Oh ya; I love the Fridays because I look forward with great anticipation to my Saturday morning outdoor ride with friends. The journey really is better than the actual race event for me.

HOCKEY, baby, ALL WEEKEND! one game tonight (Friday), two tomorrow and two games on Sunday. I can't wait, it's going to be fun (for me anyway). No EN training all weekend, but I'll be doing sprint intervals 45 seconds at a time to make up for it.

We are continuing to celebrate Clare's 11th birthday this weekend. Last Friday she had a slumber party with nine very loud friends. Her actual b-day was wednesday, the three of us celebrated at home. Today we're having the family party. Good times.

Monday I got a gig delivering flowers for Hy-Vee floral shop. They wanted firefighters, since they figure we should know the addresses. Truth is, it pays cash and didn't sound like a bad gig. I always wanted to deliver pizza. This is as close as I will likely ever get.
