Look who's hiring!

Saris is!

I'd love to get into Marketing for technology within the sporting goods/equipment industry, but not willing to move to WI.

  • My beautiful wife is VERY supportive of my tri world. Alas....I don't think she'd go for this. Ya know, I have heard on more than one occasion that you don't get to train like regular folks when you work in the industry. Don't know if that's true, but, I remind myself of that when these cool jobs pop open.
  • image I've heard Saris is a pretty cool employer. Obviously a very bike-friendly corporate culture. And Madison is pretty awesome place to live! Yet, even I am getting a bit tired of the long winters. If you're happy with the climate in Dallas, I'm guessing you wouldn't enjoy winters here!
  • I know a few people that work in the industry and are athletes. Overall they love it, but they work very very hard. Most of the people I interact wih are in marketing/event/athlete relations. Therefor they travel a ton and most weekends over the summer. They do have some flexibility during the week though and get some awesome perks ... Free stuff, two weeks in Kona every year, etc. Keep in mind they are working hard and long hours in Kona and at races but they also get to have some fun.

Bryan Ogle could definitely provide more insight.
  • Brian and I have talked before, he's offered some advice and insight. But I'm sure I'll hit him up again soon here.
And, yes, I'm looking to get a new job - been at AT&T 13+ years and been stagnate for the last 5 at least. The closer back to the West Coast I can get, the better. Dallas has been fun, but I've been here 9 years - which is about 5 years longer than I expected to be here.
