Best Tubular Tires
I'm in need of new tires.....I used Zipp Tangentes in the past when I wasn't doing much trainer work, but heard they wear quickly so now have Continental GPs. These seem to be wearing pretty fast as well.
What tires has everyone had good luck with? I used the same wheels for training and racing so need something well suited for both.

This should help you out. There is an explanation at the top but it basically works out the top tyres are the most efficient Vs. the bottom few pages.
While you certainly want to get yourself familiar with the Crr charts, I'll point out that at the end of the day, we are amateurs, & the absolute 'fastest' tire might not be in our best interest.
I have had luck with Conti Comps, no flats to date. They are not on the tops of the Crr charts, but I'll give up a watt or two if I don't have to fix a flat tubie during a race.
I've heard many mixed things about Vittoria Evos. My overall impression is they seem a bit more delicate than I'd prefer. I have personally used Tangentes, and I'm not a big fan of their shape. The seam under the tape is pretty thick & a bit awkward, and I've had a hard time gluing them up.
My vote is for Conti Competitions w/ the black chili compound. I bought them from PBK for ~$50/ea. They sit well on my Zipps.
