Exercise is Magic Medicine

I especially liked this pair of quotes:
"By the time they reached 8 months, or their early 60s in human terms, the animals were extremely frail and decrepit, with spindly muscles, shrunken brains, enlarged hearts, shriveled gonads and patchy, graying fur. Listless, they barely moved around their cages." Sound like anyone you know?
"At 8 months, when their sedentary lab mates were bald, frail and dying, the running rats remained youthful. They had full pelts of dark fur, no salt-and-pepper shadings. They also had maintained almost all of their muscle mass and brain volume. Their gonads were normal, as were their hearts. They could balance on narrow rods, the showoffs." That's us!

The hair thing for me was a bust by the time I was about 27 or so...
Along this line, read a book entitled "Younger Next Year - Live Strong, Fit and Sexy Until Your 80 and Beyond" by Chris Crowley and & Henry S. Lodge, M.D. One of their main messages is that our bodies have genetically been tuned to be active since the caveman days. It's only in the last few hundred years that we've not had to be extremely active to just stay alive. Our bodies need exercise - or we just rust....It's a good read....
