WKO Question

If this is not appropriate for this forum, please just let me know and i'll repost elsewhere.

I was reviewing my 5 x (2.5 on 2.5 off) Z5 workout and trying to determine TSS/IF but I cant seem to get that data for anything less than 5 minutes or so.

In other words, all the data is there, but it wont report on TSS/IF on a 2.5 minute range. (It just says n/a)

Comments

  • It has to be 5 minutes or longer for WKO.
  • Ok that makes sense, but now i'm wondering how others are posting their 2.5 data. Must be another method/software package for reading the data.

  • Hnery - other options: If you have a power tap, PowerAgent softeware will calculate NP for as short an interval as 1 minute. And, in WKO+, the average power for one of these 2.5 minute VO2 intervals should be pretty much the same thing as the Normalized Power.

  • Whoops - I hit submit too soon. So, in Power Agent, the TSS and IF will be calculated as well. If you're taking the Avg Power from WKO +, you can calculate the IF by the formula AP/FTP. There's a formula for TSS as well, but I won't dredge it up, as you really don't need to worry about it for an individual interval. The TSS for the whole workout ought to be sufficient for assessment purposes.

  • @ Al thanks for the advice, I was wondering about this question as well. I don't really need to know TSS and IF for these intervals, just NP, to know that I hit the numbers. On my VO2 max ride (this morning) I used avg power given that with on the trainer and VI=1 these numbers are typically very, very close.
