Whole Wheat Couscous

Since I have been doing a few protein items figured I would do something different.

 

 

      Whole Wheat Couscous

      Servings:4

      Type:Side Dish

      Storage:Freezer

      1/2cup(s) chicken broth

      1/2cup(s) white wine

      1/2teaspoon(s) kosher salt

      3/4cup(s) couscous, Hodgson Mill Whole Wheat

      2tablespoon(s) cream

      1/4cup(s) almonds, sliced, toasted

 

      Directions:

      1) Bring wine, broth,salt to a boil. Add Couscous

      2) Cover and remove from heat. Let stand 5 minutes

      3) Finish with cream, fluff with fork, stir in almonds

    A little bit of tart or salty with couscous can be good too, like some raisins (or craisins) or a vinaigrette with mustard and red onions.
