2011 Pro Cycling TV Schedule

After watching my first 2011 events (Paris-Nice and Tirrenco-Adriatico) over the last few days, I found the TV schedules for Versus and Universal Sports.

Universal Sports: www.universalsports.com/cycling/schedule/index.html

Versus: www.versus.com/blogs/2010-tour-de-f...-schedule/

Now the ladies can go man-crush their heroes, and Rich can stalk Jens.

  • Awesome finishes already in Italy.
Cadel really skooled em yesterday and the Farrar/Thor team looks like a crazy powerful finishing duo too.
  • Anyone interested in forming an EN league @ www.velogames.com? Last year we had a little fun during the tour. This fantasy league site is upgraded, and offering a Classics Season. My team is Robabank, if you want to see my 12 man list for Spring.
  • My team is Fred Velo. Going in to figure out a classics team now. I would be up for an EN mini league.
  • OK, there're two of us, so I made a league:

    League Name: Endurance Nation

    League Code: 16032514

    http://www.velogames.com

This is basically Fantasy Cycling; pick 12 riders from a list of most ProTeam cyclists, then sit back and watch how they do in each of the Spring Classics. New rounds for Giro, Tour, and Vuelta are also on the docket. You cand change your roster periodically.

    To join the EN league:

Use the League Code to enter the league by clicking on an Open spot on your Team Roster's "Mini-League Manager" section.

You can reach your Team Roster by going back the the main page and clicking on the team name in the right-hand panel of each screen when you are logged in.

After clicking on an open league spot, you will then be asked to enter the League Code to sign up your team into the league.

Anyone who can access the EN forum is WELCOME to join (no secret leagues here!)

For the Spring Classics, teams must be set by this Friday.

FWIW, I can in bascially last in the EN Tour league last summer. I should be easy pickin's again.

  • Also check out http://www.steephill.tv/

Lots of links to live coverage in English (after clicking to the event page). If your French, Spanish, Italian, of [insert foreign language here] is up to speed, there are more commentary options.

  • ooooh, this could be fun! If I have some time this week I'll join. It's a crazy week though so we'll see.
  • Wow, I had Matt Goss on my team and he won Milan San Remo. Such a bargain. He cost me 4 points and out sprinted Dreamboat Cancellara. I think I joined the EN league but can't find it.
  • I'm feeling pretty smug with both Matt Goss and Phiippe Gilbert (1,3) on my roster. But I'm still only 370th or something overall. Chris, I don't see any team but mine in the league titled Endurance Nation. Detail for joining are above.

  • Thanks, Al. Got it
  • Bummer, I'm too late to join for the spring classics. Let me know when they open up again for another series.
  • Gent - Wevelgem Up Next!

It's still not too late to enter a standard or premium team into the game.

After a classic edition of Milano - Sanremo last weekend, the Velogames Fantasy Classics peloton migrates north to the tough roads of Flanders.

So if you have yet to enter a team make sure you do so before the race deadline of 10:00 CET on Sunday 27th March!

  • Bump.
Missed my opportunity to switch up my team for Flanders and Roubaix. Oh well. I'm guessing its going to be Party Boy Boonen. He'll have more help than Spartacus.
  • Just finished watching Tour of FLanders and Paris-Roubaix on DVR. Wanted another back-to-back for Fabo, but 3rd and 2nd is still dam respectable.

When I was in Spain, got to see the Tour of Majorca stage finishes. And got some free schwag from one of the major sponsors (a bar/restaurant, of course).
  • Pretty cool race to Roubaix. Twice now this season Thor has worked (or not worked) on behalf of another teammate to get them the win. Pretty cool coming from a world champ. He looked super strong hanging with Spartacus and it would have been cool to see just those two battle it out for the win. But I'm always happy for the worker/ journeyman/domestiique getting some glory.
