You know it is spring when. . . .
It seems like I've come out of a fog and am seeing signs of spring all around. Since I am in SE Texas, we get spring early. I thought it might be fun to see what the signs of spring are around the country. Here are a few of ours:
- Pollen, pollen, and more pollen
- Allergies, allergies, and more allergies
- Trees budding out
- Azaleas blooming!
- Procreation activities. . . we live on a lake. The fish are getting busy splashing all around in the shallows. The dogs are having fun protecting us from all the splashing. Male ducks fighting over the females and proceeding to dunking one another - then the winner dunking the poor female. . .At least we will have baby ducks in the lake soon.
- Not knowing whether to turn the heater or the air conditioner on. I think we've gone back and forth 3 times now.
- Not knowing whether to put the sweaters up yet or not. If you put them up, digging a few back out. Putting them up. . .digging them out. . . .
- Humidity.

In addition to all the mother nature stuff, we get the following as tourists begin to take weekend trips to the beach:
- weekend shopping for groceries becomes more crowded- time to start shopping mid-week again
- there are more clamshell sightings (the plastic ones on top of the minivans, not the ones on the beach)
and most importantly
- we have to start remembering to draw the shades at night or not walk around the house naked since we have neighbors again!
You can see over the snow bank....
