Less than 16 weeks, it is getting real for you yet?

Monday was 16 weeks til go time.  It is starting to get real for anyone yet?  It sure is for me.  Starting to make sure I get my bike and run mileage in.  Also starting to think about that forever out and back on river road and my plan for the demons that will undoubtably arise.

On a positive note bike power seems to be coming back and run speed is where it needs to be.  Now to build on it and not hurt anything in the process [knocking on wood].

  • Nope, not yet... all I can think about is Boston.... yeah I'm one of the foolish peeps......What can I say....
  • Yeah, I need to get more focused and I'm trying to adjust my schedule to the training plan. Still getting in the bikes, long runs, but need to be more consistent with the shorter run stuff.
  • Mentally I'm getting serious and focused, but legs are still pretty fatigued after my Big Bike Week last week.  Have gotten very serious with body comp and weight is coming down so that is good.

    Had a bike fitting with Todd last week so working through some adjustments and new soreness from being in a much more aggressive position.

    Excitement is mounting, I know time will fly now !!

  • Very real. Had left nov OS around week 18 , so got a good 2 weeks "off" . And then it was onto building run and bike mileage . Last 2weeks were a full set of workouts and feeling it. Have to figure out whether I do the quassy 70.3 as a B race and then join EN on the lake placid camp.
    Do we want to start a weekly thread in this group?
  • Big activity last night was sitting down with my wife to review my training plan along with a calendar for family events...
    Bike and swim are coming along nicely...legs feel strong on the bike... For running I'm monitoring a slightly sore knee. Icing daily and keeping the long runs to about 70 minutes until May.
    Excited for the LP Camp..
  • Just getting back into it. 1st swim on Monday went reasonably well. Bike was hard after a couple of weeks transition/vacation. Today's long run went great. Legs are feeling it, though.

    Where are we going to put the weekly long run/Saturday bike threads. Here or in the forums? Would love to hear how everyone else is doing on specific workouts.
