Pro TT Power output

Just saw this post. Pretty amazing what a world class athlete can do.

  • "The final pull, especially, shows his fabulous time trial skills - 40 seconds averaging 597 watts (8.7 w/kg)"

    WOW!

  • That is amazing and also a good plug in there for powermeters on how heart rate is not a good indication of effort.

  • A different breed of Monster!! I liked this line "Also amazing was his effort after his 5th lead out (35 seconds, 589 watts average) when he had to sprint to get back into the slipstream of the team: 1,033 watts" Wow to do a pull like that then have the depth to go >1000W. Just another day at the office!!!!
  • This is what Contador has to pull him into the mountains should he do the Giro and Tour? Take that, Shelck bros!

  • I heard somewhere that Chris Lieto's NP for the IM HI bike leg is "well in excess of 300 watts". If he could just run a little better. Once in a while he rides past me when he's in Danville training, and it's really amazing to see how much faster that many watts really moves you.
